ClickProbe + Cursor

Version note: Tested with Cursor 0.45 (April 2026). Cursor’s MCP support is evolving — check cursor.sh/docs if the steps below have changed.

Config file: mcp_settings.json

Cursor reads MCP server config from mcp_settings.json. Location by OS:

OSPath
macOS~/.cursor/mcp_settings.json
Linux~/.cursor/mcp_settings.json
Windows%APPDATA%\Cursor\mcp_settings.json (e.g. C:\Users\you\AppData\Roaming\Cursor\mcp_settings.json)

Create or edit the file:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "clickprobe": {
      "command": "clickprobe-proxy",
      "args": ["--agent-stdio"]
    }
  }
}

Windows path example:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "clickprobe": {
      "command": "C:\\Users\\you\\bin\\clickprobe-proxy.exe",
      "args": ["--agent-stdio"]
    }
  }
}

Enabling MCP in Cursor settings

  1. Open Cursor Settings (Ctrl+, / Cmd+,).
  2. Search for “MCP”.
  3. Ensure “Enable MCP Servers” is toggled on.
  4. Restart Cursor for the setting to take effect.

First-time setup

  1. Install clickprobe-proxy and add it to PATH (or use a full path in the config).
  2. Log in: clickprobe-proxy login
  3. Add the config above to mcp_settings.json.
  4. Restart Cursor.
  5. Open the Cursor composer (Ctrl+L / Cmd+L) and ask: Use clickprobe.get_bugs to list bugs for project <id>.

Test it

In the Cursor composer:

Use clickprobe.get_bugs to list open bugs for project <your-project-id>.
