Email Notifications

ClickProbe sends three types of email notifications. All can be managed from the Settings → Notifications page (/app/settings/notifications).

Notification types

1. Session-complete email

Triggered automatically when an exploration session finishes.

Contains:

  • Project name and session ID
  • Session duration and total step count
  • Bug counts broken down by severity (critical / major / minor)
  • Estimated token cost for the session

2. Critical bug alert

Triggered immediately when a bug with severity = 'critical' is created during an active session. Delivery is near real-time (sent within the same request that creates the bug record).

Contains:

  • Project name and bug ID
  • Bug description and reproduction steps (as recorded by the AI)
  • Direct link to the bug detail page

3. Weekly digest

Sent once per week at the user’s configured local time. The digest covers all sessions and bugs from the past seven days.

Contains:

  • Summary table of sessions (count, steps, costs)
  • New bugs found, grouped by project and severity
  • Pages explored and overall coverage delta

Scheduling: The send time is determined by the user’s chosen timezone, day of week, and hour. The default is Europe/Berlin, Monday, 08:00.

Enabling and disabling notifications

Go to Settings → Notifications (/app/settings/notifications).

The page shows three checkboxes:

CheckboxControls
Session-complete emailsOn/off per account
Critical bug alertsOn/off per account
Weekly digestOn/off per account

Below the checkboxes, digest scheduling controls let you set:

  • Timezone — IANA timezone name (e.g. Europe/Berlin)
  • Day of week — Monday through Sunday
  • Hour — 0–23 in the selected timezone

Changes take effect immediately on save.

Unsubscribing

Every email contains a one-click Unsubscribe link. Clicking it:

  1. Validates a JWT token embedded in the link (valid for 365 days).
  2. Disables that specific notification type for the account — no login required.

To re-enable after unsubscribing, go to Settings → Notifications and re-check the relevant box.
